Just Updates

Here is our attempt at a family picture at the Hearts for Hearing Christmas party!
It's hard to believe this was our 3rd year to go!
Don't be fooled...Parker had a blast, especially helping Chester the clown (videos to come ;)

We had Tessa's 9 month follow up with her eye doctor last week, and we are now patching.
The muscles in Tessa's right eye are still quite a bit weaker than her left, so we will be patching her left eye to help strengthen her right.  The goal is to patch for 2 hours a day for the next 3 months and then follow back up with her doctor.  There is a muscle tightening surgery they could do, but it's basically cosmetic unless we can help Tessa improve her vision in her right eye - improved vision will strengthen her muscle because she'll start using her right eye a lot more!

First time patching!

Parker is a creative little thing...here he is with Tessa playing under the tent he made with his comforter after he constructed an elaborate spiderweb of yarn!

No...patching doesn't count if little Miss is asleep! Lol
Overall she has had impressive tolerance...this particular evening she was so exhausted
and decided to take some of her frustration out on the poor giraffe!

Ms. Kayla took this beautiful picture of Tessa this week as they were
headed out to therapy on a chilly morning.

Beautiful.
