Lokomat Therapy

Several months ago Melody told us about a Lokomat therapy program at the OU Health Science Center.  Lokomat therapy provides robot-assisted walking therapy to children with cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury or other neurological disorders.  I made the call today and we will hopefully be scheduling an initial evaluation for sometime in March, to potentially begin therapy sessions in April.  With the way insurance works, we wouldn't be able to start this therapy while Melody is still providing her PT services through SoonerStart because it would essentially be 'double-dipping'.  But, it will be so great to go ahead and get some Physical Therapy sessions scheduled for when Tessa will no longer receive SoonerStart services.  I can only imagine how exciting it will be for Tessa to really get to start using her legs!!
